What waterproofing standard do you work to?
Wet-area waterproofing in South Australia follows the National Construction Code (Part 10.2 of the NCC 2022 Housing Provisions) or AS 3740-2021. In a shower with a hob, step-down or level threshold, that means a waterproof floor and walls waterproofed to at least 1800 mm above the floor substrate. Our own licensed team does the waterproofing on every bathroom we renovate.
Can you replace a bath with a walk-in shower?
Yes, and in most Adelaide bathrooms it can be done. The plumbing moves, the floor is set to fall to a new waste and the whole shower area is waterproofed before any tiles go down. Do you do shower renovations, or only full bathrooms?
Both. We take on standalone shower renovations — stripping out and rebuilding the shower with new waterproofing, tiling, screen and tapware — as well as complete bathroom renovations. If your shower is leaking, dated or cramped, we can rebuild just the shower or roll it into a full bathroom renovation.
